Why is the government so damn stupid?

This article.....the stupidity in it astounds me. This article in a nutshell is about the government wagging their fingers at certain games like " F.E.A.R and Stubbs the Zombie: A rebel without a pulse " for teaching kids that cannibalism is okay. That's right folks....CANNIBALISM. Okay first off the definition of cannibalism is the act of eating the flesh of YOUR OWN KIND. Last time I checked, zombies were no longer humans and were in fact...guess what guys....zombies. According to most everything you read about zombies, zombies are no longer human, so in order for a zombie to be a cannibal as these government people are claiming, they would have to be eating the flesh of other zombies walking about.
Let's forget about the fact that most horror video games are rated M for mature (17+) and that children shouldn't be playing these sorts of games anyways. God forbid a twelve year old playing or watching a video game sees a zombie eat a human (Keep in mind that stubbs the zombie doesn't have the best graphics)*gasp* oh noes he might turn cannibalistic, this is going to teach children that cannibalism is the way to go. *shaky wavy fingers* Are you people fucking kidding me? First of all it is a fucking video game, it isn't like this child is seeing a movie or something that has very realistic images. Secondly Stubbs the zombie eats people's brains by biting into their skull.... If a child sees a zombie bite another person's head (to eat their brains) and actually tries to do it ( can't imagine why, the thought of it creeps most children out) ....they aren't getting very far. The human bite pressure isn't enough to break the skull or really any bone for that matter, so the most the kid would do anyways is leave the victim with a few bruises, or maybe a cut and hurt his own teeth.
Does the government really think that kids are stupid enough to see a horror video game image of zombie eating humans, and think that they will eat people as well? I don't know any child that would see a video game like that and actually go out and act it out. The people that see this video game and "become cannibals" as the government seems to be implying are probably fucking crazy to begin with. Plenty of children see violent video games all of the time and turn out fine. I am a pretty good example of that. I played DOOM and a lot of other horror and violent games when I was a child (8). They scared the hell out of me, but never once did I see myself staring at that screen going ' Oh look that guy is eating that other person's flesh......I think human flesh would be tasty too......' I am also not a violent person, I am not going out shooting up schools, or trying to kill my parents, or doing any other sociopathic behaviors.
As far as it being ' dangerous to your child's health' goes, there are as many studies against it being dangerous for your child, as there are for. Anything really could be dangerous to a child's mental and physical health. Suffering an injury from accidently poking themselves with sharp pencil is one of them. Does this mean now what we are going to slap on warning labels saying that pencils may not be used by children under 6? What about the documentaries shown in your school's biology course that show animals jumping on and killing other animals, or in once video I saw when I was 12 (can't remember the name of it was way too long ago) we were shown tadpoles of the african claw frogs and were told by the announcer, while watching it for ourselves, that the tadpoles would eat one another so that they would be able to survive long enough. That's right, they were showing us real cannibalism. Guess what? No one found anything bad with it, and no children were reported going home and trying to eat anything. No human being that is not mentally ill would see images like that and go home and try to eat the family dog. The people that the government should be worried about when it comes to issues like these are the psychopaths and sociopaths of the world.
Another thing. It is JUST as unhealthy to shelter your child from everything than it is exposing them to other things. A child that is not allowed to go outside play around in the mud, eat grass and do other things children do at a young age are more likely to develop allergies than children that are allowed to do the above things. The same goes with images and moving pictures. A child that sees things like animals eating other animals on animal planet, and unfiltered educational videos and stuff like that are learning more and understanding the world with a more open mind than children that are forced to watch barney all day. By filtering the things that our children see, we are teaching them really not to question why these things are filtered, and to just move along doing everything that they are told.
Show the kids these images, don't hide it from them. They are going to see it eventually anyways, and why not with their parents, rather than finding it later by themselves and freaking out over it. Maybe if the government would stop trying to tell us what is and isn't appropriate for our children we wouldn't have this many problems now a days. Children were going to movies way back when movies first came out and were seeing cowboys shoot one another and people dying. Guess what? They didn't go out and shoot up their school or try to kill anyone. They have just as much access to guns in the house than kids are now, if not more. What changed? The government wasn't telling people that these are too violent and that children shouldn't be seeing it. The harder the government comes down on the country the more problems we seem to be having.
Another thing has anyone else noticed that even old cartoons and such were rather violent. Warner Brothers is a good example. We had bugs bunny dropping anvils on people. Wild E. Coyote trying to catch and eat the road runner and ending up blowing himself up and getting crushed by rocks ect. Daffy duck getting shot in the face by elmer fudd and pulling his beak back in front of his charred face. Why aren't these cartoons, and some of the newer "violent" ones getting fingers wagged at them too? They are just as much violent as the video games and other things children are exposed to. Children are growing up watching these shows and you know what? They are turning out just fine.
The government really needs to stop creating problems that don't exist. And they need to stay out of ruling what people can and can not watch/listen/read about. We are being censored america, put a stop to it.

Hyenas are actually pretty misunderstood. They actually hunt more of their food than lions do *nods* and they generally stay away from lions unless there is a food battle or if there is one infringing on their territory and is alone. Male lions are actually more brutal to hyenas than vice versa. Hee
Yes but male lions are pretty much only there for attacking and spend most of their time sleeping. And as for hyenas, they're disgusting, and I hate them. *stares*
